Climate Change and Sustainability
At Sudbury Primary School, we believe in preparing our children for the challenges and opportunities that modern life brings. Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing our planet, and sustainability is the key to ensuring a healthier and fairer world for generations to come.
By learning about the impacts of climate change and how to be more sustainable, our children will gain the knowledge and skills to make meaningful contributions to their communities. Together, we can teach them how to keep our planet safe and healthy for everyone.
Sudbury Primary Joins the "Our Schools, Our World" Programme!
We’re thrilled to announce that Sudbury Primary School is one of just 20 schools in Brent taking part in the Our Schools, Our World programme! This exciting initiative focuses on sustainability and climate action, helping schools like ours become greener and more environmentally friendly.
Through this programme, we’ll work together as a school community to explore creative ways to reduce waste, save energy, and care for our planet. From planting to creating eco-friendly habits, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference.
Our Eco Warriors put together Our Sustainability Pledge and this poster can be seen around the school:
Are you passionate about sustainability and tackling climate change? We would love to hear from parents and carers who want to get involved. Your ideas, skills, and enthusiasm could help us lead the way in building a greener future for our children.
If you're interested in playing an active role, please contact the school office or speak to your child’s teacher. Let’s work together to make Sudbury Primary an outstanding example of eco-leadership in Brent!
Together, we can make a difference. 🌍
